Good Camping Rules
Fees
- All camping fees and other charges are due upon arrival. If you are a late arrival, please check in with the office before 11am the next morning.
- No refunds are allowed on early checkouts. You are responsible for the nights you reserve.
- Limit of 6 people per site, unless you receive prior approval.
Parking
- Only 1 RV and 1 vehicle may be parked at each campsite. Parking is also limited to 1 vehicle per cabin site. Additional vehicles may be parked in the overflow parking across the highway.
- Boats, trailers and personal watercraft are not permitted in the cabin parking areas.
- Please observe the posted speed limits and one-way streets throughout the campground.
Utilities
- Sewer sponge rings or other suitable connectors are required to hook up to the sewer system (suitable connectors are available for sale in the General Store). Do not use rocks or other unauthorized materials to stabilize or attach hose to the sewer system.
- Gray water (dish and bath) must not be spilled or drained on the ground.
- Trash and garbage must be tied in plastic bags and placed in the trash bin located nearest to your campsite. Please keep your site neat and leave it clean.
Pets
- Pets are permitted in RV and tent sites, but must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets must be in your RV or tent during quiet hours; they may not be left chained outside unattended. Owners are responsible for keeping family pets quiet as well as waste collection and proper disposal.
- Pets are not permitted in pool area, buildings, rental trailers, playground or picnic areas.
- Pets are not permitted in cabin(s) or RV trailers rented from The Wilderness. Violators will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. An additional cleaning fee of $250 will also be charged to credit card for cleaning and extermination of cabin or RV.
Recreation
- No lifeguard is on duty at the swimming pool. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult (18 years or older). Anyone behaving in an unsafe or destructive manner will be removed from the pool area. Only bathing suits are permitted in pool. NO alcohol, glass, or pets permitted in pool area.
- An adult must accompany any child under 12 years old in the game room.
Camping
- Camping is restricted to designated camping areas.
- Campfires are permitted only in the fire rings provided or grills. You may pick up fallen limbs to burn but do not cut or break off branches of trees.
- Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited on campground property, including BB guns and pellet guns.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. Please respect these rules to insure the enjoyment of everyone.
- Anyone publicly drunk, violating good camping rules, destroying property or creating a disturbance will be evicted.
Violation of rules is grounds for ejection from The Wilderness without refund. The Management reserves the right to refuse service, limit the length of stay and number of persons or vehicles per site and/or evict any person or party without refund.
